Nick Burnett
Nick has been with The Knowles Company since 2000, starting in the vacation rental department, then becoming a real estate broker in 2005.
His previous work includes diverse roles in real estate-related fields such as the marketing department of a large Boston architectural firm, services coordination for a commercial property investment company in Portland, Maine, and residential development on Mount Desert Island. This range of experience has helped Nick become a well-rounded, resourceful broker. In addition, he has gained a reputation for being a quality, service-oriented broker.
Nick came to Mount Desert Island originally by way of family, being the grandson of the late architect/landscape architect Robert Patterson, whose work has had an influence on Nick’s sense of land use and development. These ties to the area made moving to MDI an easy decision, and he now lives with his wife, who is a long-time local high school teacher, and his two boys in the Patterson house on Somes Harbor.
As a member of the Mount Desert Warrant Committee, the Vincent Astor Committee, and manager/partner of a trust and an LLC created for land development, Nick stays busy when not serving real estate clients. As time allows, he also plays music and occasionally builds furniture.
