Bar Harbor is likely the best-known town on Mount Desert Island (MDI) as it is a popular vacation destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. Originally known as Eden, Bar Harbor boasts a vibrant year-round community with many shops, restaurants, and galleries. Bar Harbor has everything a year-round or seasonal visitor could expect to find yet retains that small-town appeal.
