Bass Harbor is a pleasant fishing village located at the southern tip of Mount Desert Island. West Tremont is a small village in the town of Tremont. The essence of rural seacoast life, it is remote, yet close to portions of Acadia National Park, popular dining, entertainment areas, and an active marina.
Seal Cove is located on the western side of Mount Desert Island. Adjacent to Acadia National Park, its tranquil setting has easy access to hiking trails, freshwater ponds, and the spectacular rocky Maine coastline. Although rural in nature, Seal Cove is close to excellent restaurants, the summer stock theatre, and cultural outlets.
