NOTE: As indicated in a photo above, Southside is on the left and Clarkside is on the right side of the duplex with space for only two cars in each parking area (four total). The beach is shared by both sides and one other dwelling situated behind the duplex.
About this area:
Mt. Desert Island's second largest village, Southwest Harbor, features a charming Main Street with an appealing assortment of shops and restaurants. The neighboring village of Manset, which is along the southern shore of the harbor, tends to be rural in nature but features a number of excellent restaurants and boatyards, including Hinckley Yacht Yard and Morris Yachts, both of which boast an international reputation. If Bar Harbor is the 'gateway' to Acadia, Southwest Harbor is the gateway to Acadia's westside trails and attractions, including Seawall, Ship's Harbor, and Echo Lake, all between five and eight minutes from the village center.
