Property Description:

Capturing the look and feel of a traditional Maine summer cottage, Connor Point creates a wonderful setting for your vacation. Built in the early 1900's, with sweeping views across a broad lawn and down toward the shore, the home offers a restful spot for relaxing on the covered front porch or reading in front of the woodstove in its comfortable living room. Flying Mountain trails are just a ten minute walk away.

FIRST FLOOR: Open living area with water views, woodstove, and dining table that seats up to ten people. Small TV in living area. Modernized kitchen with gas stove and breakfast island that seats four to six people. Direct access to wonderful, covered brick porch. Master bedroom with King bed and attached bathroom with walk in shower is found off the kitchen. This bedroom and bathroom is heated/cooled with a heat pump (that also vents into kitchen area).

SECOND FLOOR: Bedroom with King bed, water views, and access to second floor of covered porch. Bedroom with Twin bed, water views, and access to covered porch. Master bedroom with King bed, water views, porch access, and private bath with walk-in shower. Two bedrooms, each with Queen beds. Each of these queens are a "split queen," which means they can be divided into two narrow Twin beds. Great for kids who don't want to share a bed! Each Queen bedroom also has a small changing/sitting room with personal sink. Shared full bath with tub and shower. Bathroom with tub off hallway.

Extras: Dock. Please ask about the potential of using a mooring for an additional fee.

About this area:

Mt. Desert Island's second largest village, Southwest Harbor, features a charming Main Street with an appealing assortment of shops and restaurants. The neighboring village of Manset, which is along the southern shore of the harbor, tends to be rural in nature but features a number of excellent restaurants and boatyards, including Hinckley Yacht Yard and Morris Yachts, both of which boast an international reputation. If Bar Harbor is the 'gateway' to Acadia, Southwest Harbor is the gateway to Acadia's westside trails and attractions, including Seawall, Ship's Harbor, and Echo Lake, all between five and eight minutes from the village center.
