All in all, this is the perfect home for enjoying all that Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island have to offer!

A small foyer leads to a Living Room with comfy furnishings, flat-screen TV and air-conditioning unit, and into a Dining Room with seating for eight. To the right is a cozy Den with gas fireplace and large screen mounted TV. These three rooms have nice hardwood floors. Updated Kitchen with tiled flooring, stainless steel appliances, gas stove, plenty of counter space and pass-through opening to Dining Room. Off the Kitchen find another spacious three-season porch that leads to a large rear deck, fenced in for privacy. The first floor offers one Bedroom with Queen bed, TV and air-conditioning unit. A Laundry Area leads to a Full Bath with large shower.

SECOND FLOOR: Master Bedroom with King bed, TV and air-conditioning unit. Second Bedroom with Queen bed, TV and air-conditioning unit. Third Bedroom with Queen bed, TV and air-conditioning unit. Fourth Bedroom with set of Twin beds and air conditioning unit. Shared full Bath with combined tub and shower.

About this area:

Bar Harbor's village and surrounding rural residential areas are a popular destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. The town center offers diverse shops, restaurants and activities. Acadia National Park's Hulls Cove entrance, as well as other major entrances, are located just outside the village center. Not all properties listed as 'Bar Harbor' are actually in the village of Bar Harbor, since the town of Bar Harbor encompasses the northern half of Mt. Desert Island, most of which is quite rural in nature. However, homes within this area are usually between five and fifteen minutes' drive to the village center.


Visiting family and the park

The house was very clean, spacious, excellent location and perfect for our first family vacation with our 9 month old. We had no issues whatsoever during our stay and would definitely book Periwinkle Cottage again!
