The carriage roads and hiking trails of Acadia and the quaint villages of Mt. Desert Island are just a short distance away by car.

About this area:

An historic village in the town of Mount Desert, Hall Quarry is minutes from Echo Lake and Long Pond. Many of Acadia National Park's offerings are nearby, such as the trails of Acadia, St. Sauveur, and Beech Mountains. The towns of Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor and Bar Harbor are all within a ten to fifteen minute drive, and a rich history of the local granite industry has left several picturesque ponds and clearings in the area.
