SECOND FLOOR: Two bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, and a third Bedroom with Twin Bunks share a newly renovated full Bathroom with tub/shower combination.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Enclosed front porch with two rockers and small table and chairs for two overlooks a quiet neighborhood road and a quaint, fenced-in backyard is perfect for grilling. Off-street parking enough for two vehicles.
About this area:
Bar Harbor's village and surrounding rural residential areas are a popular destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. The town center offers diverse shops, restaurants and activities. Acadia National Park's Hulls Cove entrance, as well as other major entrances, are located just outside the village center. Not all properties listed as 'Bar Harbor' are actually in the village of Bar Harbor, since the town of Bar Harbor encompasses the northern half of Mt. Desert Island, most of which is quite rural in nature. However, homes within this area are usually between five and fifteen minutes' drive to the village center.
Very quiet location with off street parking. Super fast internet. Great first floor walk in shower. Well equipped kitchen. Better bring your own streaming device as TV is extremely limited. No ESPN, etc. As Senior Citizens, there is no handrail to enter the front porch from a very narrow stair. A real challenge. The banister upstairs is only partial. What you see in the picture is only what's available. A handrail on the opposite wall would be nice. The addition of these accessibility issues would make this a good rental for any age folks. Our rating reflects our concerns.
Note from the Owners: "We share your concerns about the exterior railing, and have petitioned the town to make an exception to their setback rules in order for us to legally install one. As for the interior railing, we will take that into consideration as well! Thanks for pointing it out to us."
Clean, convenient, quiet and everything you could want. Very much enjoyed the sun porch for morning coffee and evening quiet.
