Property Description:

Pull down the lovely drive to this master-built home sitting on a bluff overlooking scenic Frenchman Bay. Carefully constructed by Acadian Post and Beam to highlight its clean, simple lines, its custom layout also benefits from the abundant beauty of Frenchman Bay and the privacy of the pretty wooded setting near Hadley Point beach with a set of stairs shared with Bayshore Cabin East and West next door descending down to a rocky shoreline below. Bayshore House is not only a warm and relaxing space to enjoy time with family and friends, but convenient as well with the start of the Park Loop Road and downtown Bar Harbor being only six miles away by car or via the free Island Explorer shuttle, which picks up from the nearby Hadley Point Campground from late June to mid October.

FIRST FLOOR: Enter into the main level and find a Bedroom with Queen bed to your left and a bathroom with shower, no tub. Continue ahead and to the right to the open concept common area offering a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of counter space to prepare and serve large meals and a dining table with seating for up to eight. The living area provides space to spread out, relax and enjoy. Expansive windows and spacious deck face northeast to Frenchman Bay and views across to the mainland and the Schoodic Peninsua area of Acadia National Park. TV with Roku for Internet connectivity, no cable or satellite service.

SECOND FLOOR: Up the stairs will lead to a smaller bedroom with Double bed and a large, airy Master Bedroom with Queen bed and tempur-pedic mattress. The master bedroom also enjoys a comfortable seating area attached to the Bathroom with oversized soaking tub and separate shower. Step outside from the Master Bedroom to a cozy deck with chairs. Second floor cabinets stocked with board games are sure to also be appreciated after an active day exploring Acadia National Park and the villages of Mt. Desert Island.

LOWER LEVEL: A fourth Queen bedroom with luxury mattress, half bathroom and laundry with front load washer and dryer.

OUTDOOR SPACES:  Large deck with furnishings and propane grill. Small Deck off Master Bedroom with two chairs. Shared steps situated between the two cabins next door lead down the bluff to a rocky beach, safe for play and exploring, especially at low tide. Note that due to its elevated decks and especially the steep staircase to the shoreline, this property may not be suitable for small children or adults with limited mobility.

About this area:

Bar Harbor's village and surrounding rural residential areas are a popular destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. The town center offers diverse shops, restaurants and activities. Acadia National Park's Hulls Cove entrance, as well as other major entrances, are located just outside the village center. Not all properties listed as 'Bar Harbor' are actually in the village of Bar Harbor, since the town of Bar Harbor encompasses the northern half of Mt. Desert Island, most of which is quite rural in nature. However, homes within this area are usually between five and fifteen minutes' drive to the village center.

The Bayshore House was the perfect location for our Maine vacation. The house features exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable and spacious. The location was perfect -- quiet and relaxing yet close enough to the Acadia National Park entrance as well as to the town of Bar Harbor.

Absolutely loved watching the sunrise from the deck every morning. The home itself was a vacation on its own, then throw in Acadia National Park, it was a small piece oh heaven
