FIRST FLOOR: A comfortable Living Area with wood burning fireplace and views of the lake offers easy access to the waterside deck. Eat-in Kitchen with table seating for four enjoys views and deck access as well. One Bedroom with Full bed and a second Bedroom with Single bed share a Bathroom across the living room with shower only.
SECOND FLOOR: A somewhat steep and narrow staircase leads to a third Bedroom with low ceilings and Full bed to the left. The area to the right of the stairs with a window looking out to the lake is fondly referred to as "The Monk's Room" as it's a tight alcove sleeping space with just enough space for a Single bed.
OUTDOOR SPACES: A spacious Deck offering easy access to the dock below is set just above the water's edge with a small table set and plenty of chairs from which to enjoy the view and the call of the Loons from dawn to dusk.
EXTRAS: Launch area and dock.
About this area:
Long Pond is the largest freshwater pond on Mt. Desert Island and serves as the reservoir to the village of Southwest Harbor. Swimming, kayaking, and fishing are popular activities on this lovely lake just west of Somesville. Southwest Harbor's village center is approximately fifteen minutes away, and major park entrances are between ten and twenty minutes' drive.

Simple camp with great lake access
My wife and I spent a very enjoyable week at Three Moons. The dock and lakefront deck are what make it such a great camp. The dock is spacious and sturdy and we had two boats tied up to it -- a sailboat and a canoe. The camp is at a nice windy spot on Long Pond. On a cool evening a fire in the brick fireplace is very cozy. There's even easy hand-launching of boats from a sort of boat ramp. Potential tenants should note that the neighbors are very close and the interior is very simple. The bath is tiny with a small sink. The electric kitchen stove is older, and there are only basic kitchen utensils. For example, we found no mixing bowls for batters or salads. But, all in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Three Moons!
