In addition to the covered front porch running the length of the house, there is a large elevated ipe wood deck in the back overlooking the gardens.
SECOND FLOOR: Upstairs is a bedroom with King bed and en suite bathroom, a bedroom with a set of Twins, bedroom with a Queen bed, and another bedroom with a Queen and en suite bathroom. In addition, there is a full bath off the hallway, and a full laundry area.
THIRD FLOOR: Two bedrooms each with a set of Twin beds, and a full bath adjoining each room.
OUTDOOR SPACES: A large lawn in the back for various activities, two managed flower gardens for cut flowers, and a full fenced vegetable garden. There is also a detached garage for storage of bikes, etc.
About this area:
Mt. Desert Island's second largest village, Southwest Harbor, features a charming Main Street with an appealing assortment of shops and restaurants. The neighboring village of Manset, which is along the southern shore of the harbor, tends to be rural in nature but features a number of excellent restaurants and boatyards, including Hinckley Yacht Yard and Morris Yachts, both of which boast an international reputation. If Bar Harbor is the 'gateway' to Acadia, Southwest Harbor is the gateway to Acadia's westside trails and attractions, including Seawall, Ship's Harbor, and Echo Lake, all between five and eight minutes from the village center.
