About this area:

The village of Seal Harbor has many attributes, including proximity to Northeast and Bar Harbor, a lovely hillside overlooking the quiet harbor and a well-protected public beach. The community abuts Acadia National Park, a significant portion of which was donated by Seal Harbor resident John D. Rockefeller. The Park Loop Road, the Wildwood Riding Stables, historic Jordan Pond House, and the many carriage roads around Day Mountain, Little Long Pond, the Bubbles, and Jordan Pond, are all easily accessible from the village.

Black Bear Lodge provides a true Maine experience. It is secluded, private and quiet while being surrounded by trees just outside of the lovely village of Seal Harbor. Perhaps 25 years old, it is a true log cabin that welcomes breezes through its many operable windows. The floor plan allows for privacy as the master bedroom is in an upstairs loft with full baths on each floor. The kitchen has adequate tools for cooking and eating meals at the house and there is a washer and dryer in the basement to do laundry. Several spacious decks allow for relaxing.
