FIRST FLOOR: Main entrance through mud room to a spacious open beam rustic family room with outstanding ocean views. Comfortable seating surrounding the fireplace, a bar with ice machine and a telescope to look at the stars. Door to expansive furnished deck overlooking the water. A bright and sunny cooks Kitchen with skylights, a Thermador stainless hooded stove, stainless dishwasher, butcher block island and more. Stackable washer and dryer. Dining Room with farm style table with seating for 12 people and views of the water. Powder Room. Two bedrooms with Queen Bed in each. Hall bathroom to share with clawfoot bathtub. A separate, unique "hallway shower", as seen in one of the photos, the "bedroom wing" can be closed off for privacy during shower use. Family room with flat screen television, an assortment of board games, bean bag chairs and seating area.
SECOND FLOOR: Stairs to second floor leads to a bedroom with King bed, closet, a/c sindow unit and views to the water and a Bedroom with a set of Twin Beds and closet. A shared bathroom with a separate shower and claw foot tub.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Deep water dock (not available for fall rentals). Granite steps leading to the beach. Expansive deck with furnishings. Moorings available upon request.
GUEST HOUSE: Located directly behind the Main House above the garage. A galley Kitchen with electric stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Living Room with television, futon, a set of glider rockers, wood stove and table to seat 6 people. Door to Master Bedroom with Queen Bed and private bathroom with combined tub/shower. A walk through bedroom/office with Twin Bed and writing desk to hall. A Bedroom with Full Bed. Shared bathroom with claw foot tub only. NOTE: Guest House will not be occupied if main house is rented alone.
About this area:
Mt. Desert Island's second largest village, Southwest Harbor, features a charming Main Street with an appealing assortment of shops and restaurants. The neighboring village of Manset, which is along the southern shore of the harbor, tends to be rural in nature but features a number of excellent restaurants and boatyards, including Hinckley Yacht Yard and Morris Yachts, both of which boast an international reputation. If Bar Harbor is the 'gateway' to Acadia, Southwest Harbor is the gateway to Acadia's westside trails and attractions, including Seawall, Ship's Harbor, and Echo Lake, all between five and eight minutes from the village center.

Rates include the cost of normal departure cleaning.
Pets considered for an additional fee of $100 per pet, per week.
