About this area:

The Cranberry Isles, made up of Great Cranberry Island and Little Cranberry Island, or Islesford, are located off the coast of Mount Desert Island. The year-round population of approximately 35 - 75 people swells considerably during summer months with the return of summer residents, summer visitors and visiting yachts. This makes for a vibrant summer community on each island. There is a year-round passenger ferry service and seasonal water taxis. The Islesford Dock Restaurant is famous for its good food and lively atmosphere. Both islands boast a small library, historical center, and a small market.
