DETACHED GARAGE APARTMENT: On the other side of the driveway, a 2nd floor garage apartment features a comfortable Living Room with sleeper sofa, views of the water, and doors to a furnished balcony. Small Dining Area with table that seats four, and small Kitchen with apartment sized appliances. Full Bath with combined tub and shower. Two bedrooms, each with a Queen bed. Note that this apartment is available for an additional cost, but would not be rented separately to another party. Storage for bikes also available in the garage.
OUTDOOR SPACES: Ten acres feature manicured gardens, including a special “Japanese” garden with seating and small pond, fire pit, and nicely maintained lawns and wooded areas. The shoreline is accessible and perfect for launching a kayak. Deep water dock also featured. Mooring available with prior arrangement with homeowner.
NOTE: The property is shared with two other smaller rental homes behind it, likely to be occupied by returning tenants. While these residents share access to the shore, there’s plenty of room for everyone, so your privacy is still ensured.

About this area:
Bar Harbor's village and surrounding rural residential areas are a popular destination for visitors to Acadia National Park. The town center offers diverse shops, restaurants and activities. Acadia National Park's Hulls Cove entrance, as well as other major entrances, are located just outside the village center. Not all properties listed as 'Bar Harbor' are actually in the village of Bar Harbor, since the town of Bar Harbor encompasses the northern half of Mt. Desert Island, most of which is quite rural in nature. However, homes within this area are usually between five and fifteen minutes' drive to the village center.

Rates above for 4-bdrm/4.5 bath main house which sleeps 8. Add 2 bdrm/1 bath detached Garage Apartment for an additional $1750 per week to sleep up to four additional guests.
Preference will be given to multi-week stays.
Additional Cleaning Fee: $550
Pets considered for an additional fee of $250 per pet, per week.
